Oy, I asked for a new computer challenge and I got it! I can't even figure out how to add my msn contacts. Is there a way to add the entire list at once?

Also, which plugins do you recommend right away?

If I only talk to folks via msn, is Miranda worth it?

Thanks all,
I'll keep reading...

If you are only going to use MSN, I wouldn't recomend it. Miranda is a multi protocol messenger, so you would really be bennifitting if u used it for more then one msn, i would say no. But, if u r going to sue it, the plugins that I would recomend are the speak plugin, and get a sound pack for it as well.

can someone tell me why the new miranda does not work with my scripts? If there are new scrips where do I get them?

In answer to post #1, You shouldn't have to add your contacts manually. When you connect to the MSN service, they should show up when you login.

Regarding posting #3: Did you also get the accessible contact list plugin? If you go to The Blind Geek Zone, under "programs", you will find a version of Miranda pre-loaded with the accessible contact list plugin. The JAWS scripts for Miranda are there, as well. To posters 1 and 3 both, Get a sound pack from The Miranda product homepage, and install it. You'll have to go to the event preferences and associate the sounds with the events, such as "new conversation", "new message", "contact comes online", and the like.

it seems the only miranda that will work fully is the one on that site.

All mirandas worked fine for me, even the alpha builds.

All Mirandae work. For best results, get and enable the plugin called "clist_blind". The "speak" plugin is also a nice addition.
